Wildflower Child & Family Center

Meredith Florkey is a nature-based educator and leader who has been getting children, teachers, and families outdoors and learning for over 15 years. Wildflower Child & Family Center is the second nature-based program that Meredith has founded and is excited to bring this unique experience for children and families to Huber Heights.

Wildflower Child & Family Center is a non-profit 501c3 organization that has created a high-quality nature-based preschool and child care center that currently serves 3-5 year olds located at Carriage Hill MetroPark. With a 3:15 teacher child ratio, we spend each day outdoors on 900 acres of forest, field, and farm engaged in nature discovery, play and learning. Utilizing a Reggio inspired curriculum, gardening, art, and connection with the land guide both student and teachers through the yearly cycle. Seasonal family social and learning events are favorite traditions that work with caregivers schedules. A favorite parent feature is our Get OUTside gear program where much of the outdoor gear is provided by Wildflower CFC and grows with your child-no packing up and bringing home or losing gloves!
