Time: 5:30 PM
Location: Rainbow Lakes, 3491 OH-235, Fairborn, OH 45324

If you were present at the Huber Heights Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting on March 14th, you would have caught a glimpse into the future of Rainbow Lakes from the enthusiastic speech delivered by Michelle, one of the new co-owners. Alongside her husband Cassidy, Michelle has embarked on a journey of transformation, turning the beloved Rainbow Lakes into a revitalized outdoor paradise. Their dedication is set to culminate in a grand ribbon-cutting and reopening event that promises to mark the beginning of a new era for the property.

Michelle and Cassidy, both veterans who met while serving at Wright Patterson AFB, have infused their passion for nature and community into every corner of the 60-acre expanse.

About Rainbow Lakes

Bridging Fairborn and Huber Heights, Rainbow Lakes has long been a cherished spot for local fishing enthusiasts and families for many decades. Preserving its rich history as a paylake, you will find many trophy sized blue & shovel head catfish with monsters 80+lbs!! The many lakes hold a variety of fish species for all types of fisherman. Whether you have never cast a rod or have been fishing all your life, Rainbow has something to offer everyone. Anything you need to catch fish, including bait, tackle, fishing rods, and more, are available in the retail area.

With intentions to offer fresh food and fresh roasted coffee, establish a playground, host camping and other events, and organize kayaking activities on the Mad River, their goal is to create a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. The future of Rainbow includes promotion and introduction of sustainability through permaculture and aquaculture initiatives with a goal of creating a sustainable ecosystem at Rainbow Lakes. Additionally, they are excited to partner with local organizations, including summer camps, the VA, Wright Patterson, scouts, and 4-H clubs, as well as non profits to provide enriching experiences for the community.
