Director's Letter

2010 Director's Letter

Huber Heights Ohio has so much to offer if you are looking for a city that is changing and growing to meet the needs of our community. I am honored to be the Executive Director and part of the Huber Heights Chamber of Commerce.

Being a part of the Chamber gives me the opportunity to work closely with the City of Huber Heights, local businesses, schools and community members to promote everything Huber Heights has to offer.

One of the biggest issues we face today is our nation’s economy. I realize this is on everyone's mind and we wake up every morning wondering if today is the day when things will start to turn around. I believe growth and change are starting to happen for Huber Heights and it’s my goal to help make these things happen. By promoting Huber Heights and all it has to offer we need to realize what we have that makes are city unique compared to the others surrounding us. We are a proud and loyal community that realizes how nice it is to live in Huber Heights. Located right off of I-70 and minutes from I-75 makes Huber Heights a desirable location to live and work. The Greater Dayton Airport and Wright Patterson Air Force Base are also located just minutes from our city and a positive selling point for our community.

In 2008 our community passed a bond levy for new schools. Soon, Huber Heights City Schools will have 5 New Elementary buildings, 1 New Middle School and a New Wayne High School. Knowing that these new schools will begin to open in the fall of 2011 has already generated a renewed interest in our city.

I am a firm believer that local businesses who value their customers will always do well. Word of mouth is the best and cheapest way to promote your business and here in Huber Heights word travels fast. Lets face it, we all want to live in a community that offers everything from doctors, well staffed police and fire departments, restaurants, parks and shopping to name a few. Continuing to promote our local businesses while developing new business growth in Huber Heights is the key to success. Working together we will accomplish this goal and ultimately become the city who offers it all.

I can’t promise that 2010 will be the best year ever but I can promise I will do everything I can to promote the city, local businesses, schools and the community here in Huber Heights. I live in Huber Heights and I like it here because we are on our way to becoming the city who has it all.

Sincerely,

Anita S. Brock
